A walking tour of Oxford including Christ Church
Christ Church has a deep and interesting history and is one of Oxford’s most famous colleges not least because of its connections to the Harry Potter films and its iconic dining hall, Tom quad and the cathedral.
This tour will visit inside Christ Church (unlike other tours who only view from the outside).
Meet your qualified green (or blue) badge guide at Christ Church Memorial Gardens Gates. Your tour will explore Christ Church, and meander through cobbled streets and quaint alleyways to the heart of Oxford University and pass the main sights including the University Church, Radcliffe Camera, Old Schools Quadrangle and the Bridge of Sighs.
During the 2 hour tour your guide will explain the history of Oxford from its humble beginnings to the world class university we know today.
After your tour recommendations will be made for dining, shopping, further sightseeing or other colleges you might like to visit.
Each of our guides has undergone an intensive training course and is a member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding.
The tour operates on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 2pm.
The tour is subject to college availability. If Christ Church is closed every effort will be made to visit a different college.
