Description

Climb Oxford’s oldest building and view the historic treasury.

The Tower is 1000 years old, built by the Saxons between 1010 and 1040 AD.

The east window contains panels of 13th Century stained glass and the treasury contains many historic exhibits including the 11th Century Sheela-na-gig, a rare image to see from Saxon History, a copy of the Geneva Bible dated 1608 and a 19th century clock mechanism.

The tower is open Mon-Sun 8am-10pm.
