Oxford Official Walking tours are the best way to explore Oxford’s history, the University of Oxford, famous people and old traditions. There is a walking tour in Oxford for all interests including our popular Official University and City Tour which explores the history and heritage of Oxford, visiting an Oxford University College and the Divinity School and the new Philip Pullman’s Oxford Walking Tour which explores the world of His Dark Materials and the setting of the new The Book of Dust series with a walk around Philip Pullman’s Oxford.

Other tours include Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland and Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour through to specialist themed tours, including a CS Lewis and Tolkien Tour and one exploring Oxford’s Literary Greats. Our tours are for all walking abilities and cover between 1 and 2 miles, and last between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the tour.

Your tour will be conducted by a professionally trained guide who holds a Blue or Green Badge awarded by the Institute of Tourist Guiding, the national professional body. Your guide will also be a member of the Oxford Guild of Tour Guides. In addition, they will be a member of the UK Guild of Registered Tourist Guides, the national professional organisation which guarantees a high standard of guiding throughout the UK.
