Come to The Story Museum and explore the story-filled spaces. Put on a dressing gown, pick a story and explore the immersive ‘Time for bed’ space, complete with giant story bed. The Story Museum has a room full of dressing up costumes, complete with talking throne, an extreme reading space offering strange and unusual ways of enjoying stories and a giant story-games area.

The Museum also co-ordinates Alice’s Day, a city-wide celebration of Alice in Wonderland. 2016’s theme was ‘Animals in Wonderland’: fall down the rabbit hole and for an adventure packed with mad tea parties, exhibitions, storytelling, music and Alice activities. The 2017’s Alice’s Day will take place on Saturday 1 July 2017.

Alice’s Day is celebrated every year in Oxford on the 1st of July. It is a celebration of the story of 'Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland', which marked a turning point in children’s literature and will see Oxford transformed into Wonderland.
