Art Class – Beginners Cogges Manor Farm

Get creative with beginners and intermediate art classes in the unique setting of Cogges Manor Farm, Witney.

Beginners: Always wanted to draw? Don’t know how to get started? Come and learn the basics of drawing. In a six week course designed to build confidence in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Week 1: Pencil mark-making, drawing basic cubes and shapes.
Week 2: Simple still-life with cups/jars from the kitchen and pantry.
Week 3: Negative shapes. Looking at the shapes between the solid objects helps place everything correctly in your drawing.
Week 4: The basics of perspective using photos of the barns and house.
Week 5: an introduction to portrait drawing, using a gridded photograph.
Week 6: Embracing colour with chalk pastels. Colourful still life with flowers.

This course runs every Thursday from 5th January to 9th February from 10am – midday.

£90.00 for six sessions.
