The day will be hosted by H4C Founder Rev’d Canon Dr Charlotte Bannister-Parker at Wytham Village Hall. It will incorporate Charlotte’s doctoral research into the neuroscience of behavioural change, scriptural reasoning, eco-theology, eco-pilgrimmage, and practical advice to help attendees feel greater agency when dealing with the climate crisis.
This day-long retreat offers an opportunity to build on those experiences for a deeper understanding. This promises to be an excellent introduction to the group’s work, empowering and inspiring leaders and members of religious communities in Oxfordshire and beyond to take meaningful, sustained action for the climate.
Whether you are new to the concept of creation care or are already taking action but want to know how to involve your religious community, the event aims to equip you with the skills and confidence to build resilient, faith-led projects and networks.
Tickets are £5 and are available through Eventbrite. They will include a vegetarian picnic lunch: if you have any specific dietary requirements, you are encouraged to bring your own packed lunch.
Speakers: Canon Dr Charlotte Bannister-Parker, Prof Andrew Gosler (Oxford University), Esther de Waal and Rabbi Judith Rosen-Berry
