Oxford Operatic Society bring Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s iconic musical Evita to Oxford Playhouse, charting the rags-to-riches story of Eva Peron.

Set in Argentina between 1934-1952, this Tony award-winning musical follows the young and ambitious Eva Duarte on her journey from poverty to wife of military leader-turned-president Juan Peron – becoming the First Lady of Argentina and the most powerful woman in Latin America, before her untimely death from cancer aged 33.

Featuring a chart-topping score from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice including Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, Oh What a Circus, Buenos Aires, Another Suitcase in Another Hall and the Oscar-winning You Must Love Me.
