Oxford Literary Festival hosts more than 200 events over ten days featuring leading writers and thinkers. This year’s event includes novelists Colm Toibin, John Banville and Eleanor Catton: standup comedian and historian Al Murray, scientists Martin Rees and Adam Rutherford; actors Greta Scacchi and Paterson Joseph; former Manchester City footballer Nedum Onuoha; and children’s authors including Anthony Horowitz, Robin Stevens and Cressida Cowell. There will also be debates involving public figures about topical issues such as climate change, trust in politicians, the state of our democratic and legal institutions and food policy.
