Music at Oxford: KENNETH HESKETH: LIVING GHOSTS

Music at Oxford: KENNETH HESKETH: LIVING GHOSTS
Fri 16 Jan, 19:15 - 21:15
Jacqueline du Pré Music Building, Oxford
An intimate and evocative concert tracing cycles of memory, transformation, and childhood. At its centre is Living Ghosts, a new multimedia piece by Kenneth Hesketh combining live chamber music, mechanical sound and stop-motion animation, in haunting meditation on life’s passing cycles. Alongside this world première are striking solo and chamber works by Luís Tinoco, Lara Poe, and Arlene Sierra. Miniatures by Haydn, Kurtág, and Takemitsu complete a delicate, reflective programme shaped by echoes, play, and poetic fragments.
