In celebration of the Heritage Open Days’ 30th anniversary, Abingdon Museum has organised an exciting Iron Age living history event at the Abbey Buildings on Saturday 14th September 2024.
The main guests of the day will be the re-enactment group ‘The Vicus’ and ‘Pario Gallico’, a well-known team offering ancient crafts demonstrations enabling everyone to engage and experience archaeology.

The main guests of the day will be the re-enactment group ‘The Vicus’ and ‘Pario Gallico’, a well-known team offering ancient crafts demonstrations enabling everyone to engage and experience archaeology.
It will be a great day for all the ages and this event will be an absolutely unique opportunity to see Iron Age crafts, discover some insights into the daily life during the Iron Age and to witness history come to life with re-enactments, demonstrations and interactive displays.
