Business Development Manager (Full Time) – Kelmscott Manor
Kelmscott Manor in West Oxfordshire is looking for a self-motivating individual with great interpersonal skills and an ability to work under pressure in a small team to help devise and implement the Manor’s fundraising and marketing strategies and work with the Property Manager to develop a comprehensive plan for all income generating activities on site and by developing business partnerships.
You will have a commercial background with exposure to the charity sector, 2 years’ experience in a business development role with some experience in fundraising.
The appointee will be an effective communicator with the ability to be self-motivating and set their own goals. The ability to work under pressure and enjoy working as part of a team. Previous experience in the visitor attraction or museum sector will be an advantage.
Kelmscott Manor is an internationally important site inextricably associated with Victorian designer William Morris, pioneer of heritage conservation and leader of the English Arts and Crafts Movement. The Society of Antiquaries of London has owned the Manor in Oxfordshire since 1962. The Manor is open to the public as a heritage attraction.
In recent years the profile of the Manor has grown considerably and successfully. The Manor has won numerous heritage and tourism awards: admission numbers have increased, and visitor satisfaction is extremely high with our tearoom and shop being very popular.
The Manor is currently completing major conservation and improvement works funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and other funders and will reopen in April 2022.
