Full-Time Kitchen Apprentice or Commis Chef
Salary: £15,000 – £20,000pa, dependent on relevant experience
An opportunity for an individual who is seeking a catering career. Supervised workplace training as well as training provided by Hospitality Industry Training (HIT), the leading specialist training and apprenticeship provider for the UK’s hospitality and catering industry. This will lead to a Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Full-time, fixed term for two years and six months. Congenial working hours.
Alternatively, offer of an exciting opportunity for someone who has recently completed their apprenticeship or is an experienced junior chef to join the Kitchen brigade in one of Oxford’s largest and busiest colleges.
Flexibility to work shifts on weekdays and weekends is essential. 40 hours per week.

Casual Bar Persons
Experienced, reliable and friendly individuals are required to join a busy, small team running a major wine cellar and providing bar and function services to college members, guests, students and visitors. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to suit the needs of the college. £10.50/hour.
Duties include staffing the main gates and the reception and direction of visitors. Required skills/experience include: high level of customer service, confidence in dealing with the public, security experience desirable, capability in the use of technology, strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends, to suit the needs of the college. Full-time, part-time and casual opportunities available. £10.50/hour.
Part-Time Scout/Cleaning Supervisor
A motivated, reliable, well organised individual with experience of housekeeping and team management is required to join hard-working housekeeping team. This role will involve some direct cleaning responsibilities in addition to a supervisory role, which includes room inspections, training staff and stock control. Must have the ability to set and deliver the highest possible standard of cleaning. 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work extra hours during busy periods (including some weekends), to suit the needs of the college. £11.25/hour plus discretionary bonus.
Full-Time Hall Assistant
A self-motivated, friendly, reliable individual with excellent customer service skills and food service experience is required to join the Hall team. 40 hours per week. Christ Church has a thriving conference business, so total flexibility is required to meet the demands of this business, including evenings and weekends.
£10.50/hour plus usual College benefits.
Full-Time Chef de Partie
Salary: £27,131 pa, Grade 4.6, plus college benefits
An exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced professional to lead a section in the preparation of meals in part or in full to the highest standards, working with one of Oxford’s largest and busiest college kitchen brigades. Flexibility to work shifts on weekdays and weekends is essential. 40 hours per week.
Casual Lodge Porters
Friendly, confident and reliable individuals with excellent customer service skills required to join the lodge teams. Duties include dealing with telephone enquiries, security, fire alarms, mail and the reception and direction of visitors. Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends, to suit the needs of the college, including varying start/finish times, is pre-requisite. £10.50/hour.
Full-Time Security Night Porters (University Scale Grade 4.5: £26,396 pa)
A great opportunity to join the lodge team in providing a security presence and professional reception service for the College. You will need to be confident, personable and reliable with excellent customer service skills to deal with security, fire alarms, telephone enquiries, mail and the reception and direction of visitors. SIA licence and security experience would be an advantage. Training will be provided in Safeguarding & Prevent Duty. Postholders will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Shift pattern of 3 on 3 off (42.11 hours per week). Flexibility to work additional hours when required is essential.
