Full-Time Pastry Sous Chef
(University Scale Grade 5.3 £29,762 pa) plus usual College benefits
An exciting opportunity for someone with experience in the preparation of sweet/pastry dishes to join the pastry brigade of three in one of Oxford’s largest college kitchens. Preparation of desserts and afternoon teas, including fine dining and special events. Flexibility to work 40 hours per week over 5 days, including alternate weekends based on a rota, is essential.
Full-Time General Assistant
This is a varied role and the post-holder is required to work a flexible shift to meet the needs of the College, including alternate Saturday and Sunday working. Duties include cleaning a variety of areas (including toilets), as well as setting-up lecture rooms and equipment (a basic knowledge of IT desirable although not essential), moving substantial amounts of furniture and dealing with waste and recycling. 40 hours per week. £10.50/hour (will increase to £11.35/hour as of 1 June).
Casual Gate Porters
Friendly, confident and reliable individuals with excellent customer service skills required to join the Lodge team. Duties include staffing the main gates and the reception and direction of visitors. Skills/experience required include delivering a high level of customer service and confidence in dealing with the public, strong communication skills (written and verbal), security experience desirable, capability in the use of technology and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility and availability to work regular weekends is pre-requisite. £10.50/hour (will increase to £11.35/hour as of 1 June).
Part-Time Scout/Cleaning Supervisors
Motivated, reliable, well-organised individuals with experience of housekeeping and team management are required to join hard-working housekeeping team. This role will involve some direct cleaning responsibilities in addition to a supervisory role, which includes room inspections, training staff and stock control. Must have the ability to set and deliver the highest possible standards of cleaning. 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work extra hours during busy periods (including some weekends), to suit the needs of the college. Various start dates available in May, June and September. £11.25/hour plus discretionary bonus (will increase to £12.10/hour as of 1 June).
Part-Time Scouts
(including maternity cover for 12 months)
Cleaners required to join hard-working housekeeping team. Would suit motivated, reliable individuals with high standards of cleaning. Flexibility required to work extra hours during busy periods, including weekends, to suit the needs of the college. Permanent positions (20 hours per week and 25 hours per week) and 12 months’ maternity cover position (25 hours per week) available. £10.50/hour (will increase to £11.35/hour as of 1 June).

Casual Weekend Kitchen Porter
A well-motivated, reliable person is required to join the Kitchen brigade, working Saturdays and Sundays, mainly during term time and conference periods. Main duties include washing up of catering equipment and utensils and providing a hygienically clean working environment. Other responsibilities include dealing with the delivery and storage of supplies and recycling. Approximately 16 hours per week. £10.50/hour (will increase to £11.35/hour as of 1 June).
Full-Time Hall Assistant
A self-motivated, friendly, reliable individual with excellent customer service skills and food service experience is required to join the Hall team. Christ Church has a thriving conference business, so total flexibility is required to meet the demands of this business, including evenings and weekends. 40 hours per week. £10.50/hour (will increase to £11.35/hour as of 1 June).
