Assistant Hall Manager

An efficient, well-motivated and confident person with the ability to organise and oversee the work of a large front of house team in carrying out catering services to the highest standard is required. The successful applicant would join a professional management team working in the College’s Great Hall and ancillary break-out areas. Experience within a similar working environment would be advantageous, and may suit someone wishing to progress within the catering services industry. Salary £24,174 pa plus usual College benefits.

 

Casual Lodge Porters

Friendly, confident and reliable individuals with excellent customer service skills required to join the lodge teams. Duties include dealing with telephone enquiries, security, fire alarms, mail and the reception and direction of visitors. Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends, to suit the needs of the college, including varying start/finish times, is pre-requisite. £10.50/hour.

 

Gate Porters

Friendly, confident and reliable individuals with excellent customer service skills required to join the Lodge team. Duties include staffing the main gates and the reception and direction of visitors. Part-time, full-time and casual opportunities available.
£10.50/hour plus usual College benefits.

 

Part-Time Scouts

Cleaners required to join hard-working housekeeping team. Would suit motivated, reliable individuals with high standards of cleaning. Hours may include weekends, as weekends form part of a flexible rota. Flexibility required to work extra hours during busy periods, including weekends, to suit the needs of the college. 25 hours per week. £10.50/hour.

 

Kitchen Apprenticeship Training Scheme

Opportunity for an individual seeking a catering career. Supervised workplace training, as well as training provided by Hospitality Industry Training (HIT), the leading specialist training and apprenticeship provider for the UK’s hospitality and catering industry. This will lead to a Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Full-time, fixed term for two years and six months. Congenial working hours and other benefits.

 

Part-time Security Person

Reliable, confident, personable and professional individuals with excellent customer service skills are being sought to provide a security presence in Christ Church’s Visitor Centre and surrounding area. This is a part-time position, working 10 hours per week, Saturdays 10.30–16.30 and Sundays 12.30–16.30 (job share would be considered). Additional shifts available at peak times of year. SIA licence would be an advantage.
£10.50/hour plus usual College benefits.

 

Casual Shop/Visitor Centre Assistant

A friendly, self-motivated individual with excellent customer services skills and retail experience is required to work in the Visitor Centre. Responsibilities include unpacking and checking deliveries, pricing and merchandising, cashing up tills, maintaining sales records, dealing with customers and assisting with ticket sales and issuing of multimedia guides. Flexibility to work according to a roster, which will include weekend working on a regular basis and occasional evenings, is pre-requisite. £10.50/hour.

 

Seasonal Visitor Service Assistants (Custodians) (June to September)

Friendly and confident individuals with excellent customer service skills required to join the team which supports Christ Church’s busy visitor business. Duties include staffing the gates and quads, selling tickets, issuing multimedia guides and welcoming visitors (groups and individuals). Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends. Up to c.35 hours per week. Variable start/end dates available from mid-June to end of September. £10.50/hour.

 

Casual Summer Scouts/Cleaners

Cleaners required to join hard-working housekeeping team from June to end September, working c.5 hour shifts, Monday to Friday. Must be flexible and able to work extra hours during busy periods (including some weekends), to suit the needs of the college, including varying start/finish times, is essential. Would suit motivated, reliable individuals with high standards of cleaning. £10.50/hour.

 

Weekend Scout/Cleaner (Maternity Cover)

Christ Church is seeking a Weekend Scout to provide maternity cover for one year, working in their Visitor Centre, located in the beautiful meadows of Christ Church. Would suit a motivated, reliable individual with high standards of cleaning. 10 hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday. £10.50/hour.
