Full-Time Lodge Porter

Salary: £21,686 pa, Grade 3.4

(University Scale Grade 3: £20,092 – £22,847 pa)

Applications are sought from personable, confident and reliable individuals with excellent customer service skills to deal with telephone enquiries, security, fire alarms, mail and the reception and direction of visitors.  Training will be provided.  Shift pattern of 3 on 3 off (40 hours per week).  Flexibility to work additional hours when required is essential.


Full-Time Commis Chefs

An exciting opportunity for individuals who have recently completed their apprenticeship or is an experienced junior chef to join the Kitchen brigade in one of Oxford’s largest and busiest colleges.  Flexibility to work shifts on weekdays and weekends is essential.  40 hours per week.  Salary £20,092-£22,254 pa, dependent on experience, plus usual College benefits.


Part-Time Permanent Customer Service Assistant (Custodian)

Friendly and confident person with excellent customer service skills required to join the team which supports Christ Church’s busy visitor business.  Duties include staffing the gates and quads, working in our new Visitor Centre selling tickets, issuing multimedia guides and welcoming visitors (groups and individuals).

c.30 hours per week, including weekend working. Currently £9.50/hour.


Casual Bar Person

A reliable and friendly individual is required to join a busy, small team running a major wine cellar and providing bar and function services to college members, guests, students and visitors.  Experience preferred but not essential.  Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to suit the needs of the college. Currently £9.50/hour.


Casual Weekend Kitchen Porter

A well-motivated, reliable person is required to join the Kitchen brigade, working Saturdays and Sundays, mainly during term time and conference periods. Main duties include washing up of catering equipment and utensils and providing a hygienically clean working environment.  Other responsibilities include dealing with the delivery and storage of supplies and recycling.  Currently £9.50/hour plus usual College benefits.
