The King’s Centre Oxford is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim King as their new General Manager.

Tim takes over from Michelle Fernandez who has returned to the United States with her family.

He said:

“It is a privilege to be given this opportunity; I hope that in the next few months and years my team and I can take the King’s Centre forward and that we can become a centre of excellence for the conference industry here in the historic city of Oxford.”

Tim was brought up in Zimbabwe and involved in Project management and Construction. In 2000 he moved his family to New Zealand where he lived for ten years working in the tertiary education sector. Since moving to the UK nine years ago, he has worked with local charities developing their strategic plans and business strategies. Alongside this he has helped establish a small conference centre in the North West and mentored young entrepreneurs.

The King’s Centre is the largest and most versatile conference centre in Oxfordshire with over 30,000 square feet of space encompassing two large halls and 10 support rooms. The venue caters for large conferences, seminars and smaller meetings.

Based in Osney Mead, all its annual profits are invested into maintaining the building, Oxfordshire Community Churches and their associated charitable activities across the county.
