So why not embark on your own journey of discovery!

With GULLIVER’S GUIDES you can drop in on Shakespeare’s birthplace; visit ancient sites like Stonehenge, Avebury and Viroconium; and see landscapes that inspired authors and composers such as Tolkien and Elgar. Admire great cathedrals like Gloucester and Salisbury, and castles like Windsor and Warwick. You can even journey to the cradle of the Industrial Revolution; go walking in the hills and perhaps visit a film location or two.

So hire the GULLIVER’S GUIDES luxury Ford Tourneo minibus. Seating up to 7 passengers, it offers privacy, great visibility and comfort, as well as being equipped with live commentary supplied by Tony Gulliver himself, via its PA system.

Ever thought Stonehenge might be too far? Not for GULLIVER’S GUIDES. Marvel at one of the world’s most famous prehistoric sites, just a 90-minute drive from Oxford. You can be there and back in 4–5 hours. Or make a whole day out of it, combining your visit with a trip to nearby Bath, another World Heritage Site, as well as the amazing stone circles and prehistoric landscape of Avebury on the way home! Or to nearby Salisbury and its awesome cathedral with the tallest church spire in the country.

GULLIVER’S GUIDES can collect you from the airport (Heathrow or Gatwick) and take you to Oxford or anywhere in the region. The journey can take in Windsor Castle and the Thames meadow at Runnymede where King John signed the Magna Carta. The route back to Oxford then takes us through the Chiltern Hills to Henley and Wallingford, the heart of Midsomer Murders country.
