The Chequers, Burcot is a beautiful thatched public house located in South Oxfordshire – this multi-award-winning gastro pub is located a few miles outside of Oxford, offering a rural retreat after a busy day exploring all that the world-famous city has to offer.

Using locally sourced ingredients, chef Steven Sanderson has created a number of menus offering the best of contemporary British food, including our famous sharing boards and our 100% grass fed British beef steaks. We also have an exciting breakfast menu available both weekdays and at the weekend. The Chequers is also famous for its Sunday Roast menu – available all-day on a Sunday.

In late 2019 The Chequers opened 9 boutique hotel rooms on site, all of the rooms are en-suite and individually designed including all of the luxuries you would expect, such as complimentary Wi-Fi, toiletries and flat screen TV’s in all the rooms.
