#WhyILoveOx Photography Competition

Mar 18 2019

English Tourism Week is right around the corner, and in celebration of the annual event The Oxford Mail and Experience Oxfordshire are excited to announce the launch of their Why I Love Oxfordshire photography competition.

The premise is simple – we want to get people showing off their favourite bits of the county and encouraging other to venture far and wide in Oxfordshire.

Taking inspiration from our beautiful county, we are encouraging you all to go out and take photos of your favourite places in Oxfordshire: the places that remind you #WhyILoveOx. It could be one of the classics: the dreaming spires or the rolling Cotswold countryside; or it could be something a bit quirky which shows why you love Oxfordshire: your back garden, your favourite shop or even one of your furry friends! The competition is open to all ages, with two categories: one for 18 and under, and one for 19+.

Once you’ve entered your image, we’d encourage you to share it on social media with the hashtag #WhyILoveOx so everybody can see your spectacular photos!

The winning photos will be published in the Oxford Mail – and we have a bundle of other prizes to be won too – details coming soon!

How to enter

To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is take a photo of something in Oxfordshire (it could be a sunset, a brick wall, a stunning birds eye view) and post on Instagram using the hashtags #WhyILoveOx & #Comp and tag us @experienceoxfordshire and @oxfordmail on your post!

Or, if you’re not on Insta, please send your photo(s), along with your name, age and email address to: marketing@experienceoxfordshire.org.

If you’re under 13 please make sure you have a parent or guardian’s permission to enter.

Entries are open from 00:01 on Monday the 11th of March 2019 until 23:59 on Friday the 29th of March 2019.

Terms & Conditions

In entering the competition you recognise that The Oxford Mail and Experience Oxfordshire retain the right to use the image for both print and online publication, including copies of the Oxford Mail, the Oxford Times and in Experience Oxfordshire print literature.

Prizes are final, and there is no cash alternative available. Prizes are redeemable on dates as agreed with the venues. You may be required to collect your prize.
