The New Theatre was opened in 1934 and boasts a traditional auditorium space, with additional break-out spaces available in recently refurbished bar areas.

The venue is not just about star names though, set in the heart of Oxford city centre it is the ideal location for conferences, meetings and private parties with room sizes to suit all.
The main auditorium has a traditional theatre layout and seats 1,785. It has an art deco theme and is the perfect location for larger scale events.
The Piano Bar can be set up as a meeting space, presentation area or drinks reception. There is a piano, as well as a professional sound system. Staging can be set up in this area if required.
The Ambassador Lounge provides a luxurious private space for up to 24 people, and is most suitable for drinks receptions, but can also serve as an informal meeting space.
Situated in the balcony, the Wonder Bar is an Alice in Wonderland themed space ideal for drinks receptions (capacity up to 40 people). It is also suitable as an informal meeting room space or breakout area.
