Get ready for a day of hands-on fun, exciting experiments and family-friendly discovery at the Oxford Brookes Science Bazaar on Saturday 20 February 2027!

Perfect for children aged 5–12 and their families, this free festival brings together over 60 interactive activities from across science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics and social sciences (STEAMS). Whether you’re interested in robots, rockets, creative crafts or mind-blowing experiments, there’s something to spark everyone’s curiosity!

Visitors can try flying a drone, explore virtual reality simulations, take part in LEGO building challenges, enjoy exciting science shows, and get creative in comic-making and storytelling workshops. There will also be hands-on activities exploring psychology, biology, the environment, coding and engineering, offering plenty of opportunities to experiment, build, make and discover something new.

The Science Bazaar is all about making research and learning accessible, engaging and fun. Families will have the opportunity to meet real scientists, researchers and experts, discover how their work shapes the world around us, and get involved in activities designed to inspire the next generation of innovators.

Autism-friendly early opening

To make the event as accessible as possible, there will be a dedicated autism-friendly opening from 9:30am to 11:30am. This quieter session will offer a calmer environment for families who would benefit from a more relaxed experience. Tickets for this session are limited.

The main event will then open to everyone from 11:30am until 4:00pm.
