The world premiere of an exciting new setting of the Magnificat by the Master of the King’s Music, Errollyn Wallen CBE, forms the centrepiece of this service of celebration for the 500th anniversary year of Christ Church. This service of Solemn Vespers honours the pre-reformation origins of the foundation with the new commission alongside works from the first Organist and Master of Choristers of Wolsey’s College, John Taverner, reflecting half a millennium of music-making at Christ Church.
