A course for adults to carve their own spoon from green wood, using an axe and carving knives.
Carving freshly cut green wood with a sharp axe and knife is immensely satisfying and making a product that is both practical and beautiful from locally harvested wood is very rewarding. Start with a round of wood and use the axe and chopping block to shape a spoon blank before moving on to use a craft knife and hook knife to further refine the bowl and handle. The course will also cover tool sharpening and finishes for your spoon. All tools and materials are provided, just bring enthusiasm!
