Bring your own teddy and picnic to enjoy in the sunshine, or grab a bite to eat from the cafe!
Find out more about ‘Hunny’, Pooh’s favourite picnic treat, with Oxfordshire Beekeepers Association. Discover ‘The Magic of the Hive’ with their talk and demonstration from 1pm.
Andy has been keeping bees since 1991, and thinks he might be quite good at it by now! He’ll be explaining why bees are magical creatures, producing honey, but also vitally important for pollination on which so many of our crops depend. Andy will explain the life cycle of the honey bee, their role in the environment, the challenges that they face, and what we can do to help them and their relatives, solitary bees and bumble bees.
You’ll also be able to enjoy a whole range of Hundred Acre Wood-inspired family activities and trails throughout the day.
The Teddy Bear Picnic, Beekeepers’ talk and garden activities are all free to take part.
Admission prices apply to see the E. H. Shepard: Before & Beyond Winnie-the-Pooh exhibition. To celebrate the final month of the exhibition, any Family Admission tickets purchased on the day can be converted to an annual pass for no extra cost. Ask on entry about the Teddy Bear Picnic offer.
See www.sofo.org.uk/visit-us for standard and family admission prices.
