Assistant Meeting & Events Operations Manager
As Assistant Meetings and Events Manager you’ll be the backbone of the team as you’ll be working with your Head of Department to inspire and motivate your colleagues, ensuring that all guests have memorable experiences with them. Take a deep breath because you’ll be stepping into a busy role! The hotel set high standards for ourselves to surprise and delight our guests, so you’ll need to be passionately involved in the M&E department’s smooth running.

• Coach and train new team members
• Undertake Duty Manager shifts as required- this is a great way to get out and about in the hotel and meet new people
• Ensure meeting and event rooms are set to royal standard
• Manage day to day operations of the department ensuring smooth experience for clients and guests
• Lead the team throughout large banquets and private dining events
• Have prior experience using Audio-Visual (AV)
• This role does involve weekends and evenings depending on business needs.

Regional Groups Co-ordinator
A great opportunity for a Groups Admin Coordinator to join the Regional Groups hub based at Leonardo Royal Oxford . You will work as part of a team to manage group reservations across a number of hotels within your region. The role will involve dealing with a variety of both pro-active and reactive sales enquiries to maximise revenue in line with company procedure.
As a Groups Coordinator you will be able to demonstrate first class customer service skills, can adapt and multi- task whilst having that keen eye for detail. Your key responsibility is to ensure that all group reservation enquiries are answered within our agreed timeframes, quoting suitable proposals, work on converting/securing the booking and then manage the booking process including contracting, obtaining payment, entering guest details and completing hand overs to the hotel teams. After the groups have stayed with the hotel, you will be required to complete follow up satisfaction calls to the booker and try and secure repeat business including cross selling the other hotels in the group.

Key responsibilities:
• Taking group reservation bookings either via phone, email or supplier portal.
• Build strong relationships with customers, guests and Team Members in order to gain full understanding of their needs and work to serve them effectively
• Communicate clearly with clients/colleagues in a clear and efficient way whether that be via email, phone, online portal or Microsoft Teams
• Working with your Regional Groups Manager and Cluster Revenue Manager to deliver forecasted levels of group business for your hotels.
• Being aware of potential peaks and troughs in the business and focus hotels.
• Converting enquiries and provisional bookings into contracted business.
• Entering all bookings into the reservations system and ensuring the Group Processes/standards are followed.
• Seek feedback from key clients and communicate back to key stakeholders
• Continually developing new knowledge and skills to ensure best practice sales delivery whilst having thorough knowledge of the company product and the organisation.
• Identify sales leads for future business and cross sell opportunities and communicate with our sales team.
• Develop and maintain a customer database.
• Being aware of VIPs and show rounds, communicating this to relevant hotel and ensuring all information is clearly handed over.
• Working with the other departments and colleagues including – reservations, front office, food and beverage, housekeeping to ensure successful delivery of group bookings and achieve hotel targets.
• Ensuring that safe and healthy working practices are implemented at all times and full awareness of emergency procedures.

 

Room Attendant (Full time must be available to work weekends)

As a Room Attendant, you’ll be right in the heart of the hotel, so the Leonardo Royal Hotel Oxford want you to take pride in everything you’ll be doing to support the Head Housekeeper and keep the hotel clean as a whistle. The hotel offers flexible working conditions with the opportunity for overtime. Full training will be provided so that you are confident to ensure that every bedroom and bathroom is clean and well-presented for guests.

Key responsibilities for a Room Attendant:

  • Dusting, polishing, vacuuming
  • Refreshing of all towels and linen as required
  • Stripping and making beds
  • Cleaning bathrooms
  • Reporting any maintenance issues and safety hazards
  • Working as part of a vibrant team to exceed guests’ expectations.

Part-time Receptionist (20 hours) & Full time Receptionist

As a Receptionist you’ll be a face of the hotel, so bring your warm and friendly personality to work with you every day. Take a deep breath because you’ll be stepping into a busy role! Working as part of a vibrant team, you’ll be an ambassador for the hotel as the first person our guests will meet. Whilst organising all aspects of the check-in and check-out processes, you’ll be offering guests the real 5-star treatment at our hotel!
