Blenheim Palace Innovation Team named in prestigious Artificial Intelligence Leadership Index

Two of Blenheim Palace Heritage Foundation’s Innovation Team have been named in a prestigious list of the Top 25 Artificial Intelligence (AI) leaders in the country.
David Green, Head of Innovation, and Clara Saliba, AI and Data Insights Analyst, are both listed in Computing magazine’s latest AI Leadership Index, which celebrates leaders in the field of AI “that create space for responsible innovation and systems which support ethical and sustainable transformation. Each individual featured is not only advancing AI, but helping shape how it is built, deployed and governed.”
The index – which features individuals from a wide range of organisations including Aston University, Carlsberg, and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport – takes a number of factors into consideration including case studies of AI innovation and adoption; scale and complexity of challenges tackled; and commitment to responsible and ethical AI practices.
In its profile of David Green, Computing says: “Under his direction, AI and automation initiatives have transformed how Blenheim Palace operates, helping the organisation protect and share this UNESCO World Heritage Site more effectively with future generations. His approach balances cutting-edge technology with heritage conservation, showing that AI can enhance rather than replace the human expertise needed to care for irreplaceable historic buildings and landscapes.”
Clara’s profile states: “Her technical work spans both modern AI and classical machine learning applications from analysing visitor surveys and detecting ticket fraud to developing predictive maintenance models for the historic estate. Clara is driven by AI’s potential to strengthen rural communities and cultural institutions and sectors often perceived as disconnected from technological innovation. She believes heritage organisations can be at the forefront of thoughtful AI adoption.”
Dominic Hare, CEO, Blenheim Palace, commented: “We are all extremely proud that not one but two of the outstanding individuals in the country in the field of AI are people at Blenheim Palace. I don’t think anyone who works with these individuals is in the least bit surprised by this recognition.
“I feel very lucky here every day to work with an extraordinary group of people; along with the support team which includes Tawhid Sharior, they are without a doubt the finest AI team in the country.”
