Brunch is Back at Gees Restaurant & Bar

Gees Restaurant & Bar has announced the relaunch of its popular brunch.

Banbury Road’s Grade II listed Victorian conservatory is the new place in Oxford to dive into the best of British woven with the fresh and vivid flavours of the south Mediterranean. The menu features everyone’s bacon and eggs favourites, enlivened by the colourful fruits and dishes that evoke the essence of Spain and Italy.

“We’re very excited to be reintroducing brunch at Gees, a staple of the north Oxford food scene. We have thoughtfully curated a menu that is typical of Gees’ take on classic Mediterranean and British dishes.” – Sam Mckee, Senior Restaurant Manager.

Highlights of the menu include smashed avocado and sourdough with homemade smoothies and granola. They’re masterfully paired with the milky sweetness of Italian buratta as well as chorizo and morcilla, the rich and robust sausages for which Spain is renowned. Benedict and classic Florentine pizzettas and ‘pan con tomate’ are made for lingering long into the morning with Gees Bloody Mary or mimosas as ever-popular complements.

Establishing itself as a desirable all-day dining spot over many years, the restaurant underwent a total refurbishment in 2022. When it reopened, service began at noon for lunch. However, it has become clear that the appetite for brunch is stronger than ever, especially among the business community.

Brunch at Gees is now offered every day from 9am-11.30am, with the option to dine in the light-flooded glasshouse or al fresco on Gees Secret Garden terrace. Corporate groups are invited to exclusively reserve Gees Gallery, a private dining space that opened in 2022 adjacent to the restaurant. The Oxford Collection’s other two restaurants, Quod and Parsonage Grill, also serve business and leisurely breakfasts in Oxford city centre.
