City of Oxford College to welcome local community to Adult Education and Careers Fair on Thursday 26 June

City of Oxford College and University Centre is inviting job seekers and adults who are looking to learn new skills to their Adult Education and Careers Fair on Thursday 26 June from 3.30-6pm.

From building confidence to finding that first job, advancing in a current career, or looking for a completely fresh start, Activate Learning has opportunities available at every level.
Explore these opportunities at City of Oxford College and University Centre’s Adult Education and Careers Fair on 26 June from 3.30-6pm.
This event aims to give the local community access to professional support and information when job hunting, retraining or returning to education.
The fair will be hosted at the Oxford city-centre campus on Oxpens Road, where visitors can learn more about:
- Accredited courses
- Adult Apprenticeships
- Help getting back into work
- Higher Education
- Learning for Leisure courses
- Working at City of Oxford College and University Centre.
Accredited courses – Accredited courses can support visitors returning to education, looking to upskill or hoping to increase their earning potential and fight the cost-of-living crisis.
Adult apprenticeships – Apprenticeships aren’t just for young people! Find out how an apprenticeship can help you learn and earn at the same time.
Help getting back into work – For those looking to return to work, we offer free training to build confidence through working with an employability coach. They can support you with the job search and interview skills, as well as essential job skills to build confidence including functional English, Maths, Digital and ESOL (English as a second language).
Higher education – When you’re ready to start your higher education journey, there are many options at City of Oxford College and University Centre.
Learning for Leisure – Visitors can also learn more about adult leisure courses in Oxfordshire. Learning for leisure programmes at Activate Learning offer a fun and relaxed environment, supporting mental wellbeing within the community.
Working at the college – The Activate Learning Human Resources team will detail what it’s like to work at the college alongside providing further information on current vacancies at Activate Learning from entry level through to director level.

Access to HE programmes – Find out about our Access to HE programmes which offer adults who are 19 and over the chance to retrain and progress to university or higher education.
