Don’t miss the Cogges Manor Farm Beer & Cider Festival 2025

Celebrating 10 years, the legendary Cogges Manor Farm Beer and Cider festival is back this weekend, bigger and better than ever.

A record number of craft beers and ciders take centre stage along with a rocking line up of local bands at the farm’s summer festival fundraiser on Saturday 9th August, 12pm-10pm.

Festival-goers can sample from 36 craft beers and 15 ciders sourced from regional artisan brewers and passionate producers.  This year, firm favourites return alongside some new star breweries such as Twisted Tree, Ramsbury, Fresh Standard, Black Sheep, Cotswold Lion, Corinium and Dunkertons.

For non-beer and cider drinkers, the Cogges Summer Bar will be serving wine, prosecco and grown up soft drinks in the Barley Barn which this year has been turned into a chill out zone. The famous Cogges BBQ will keep energy levels up, serving food in the barn courtyard all day.

The festival kicks off at midday with Masons Aprons Clog Morris Dancers, the brilliant group of female folk dancers from Long Hanborough dancing in the North West Morris tradition. Not to be missed.

The music continues with an exciting all-day line up which will raise the barn roof! Celebrating home-grown talent from Oxfordshire and Witney, bands will be playing folk, country, rock, americana, Irish, indie and pop.

Drink up, me hearties, yo ho! – don’t miss Oxford’s biggest landlocked sea shanty troupe, Monkeyfists, festie favourite, Genevieve Miles and her band, gorgeous acoustic pop courtesy of Violet, rootsy Ulster Americana thanks to Scott Gordon Band, rising local stars and indie rockers, Quartermelon, Country for Old Men with their authentic Americana sound blending blues and Tex-mex with Jessica Marshall & friends, talented local duo SPL/T with their hauntingly beautiful vocals and hard hitting drums, The Publicans with their invigorating mix of Irish/Celtic folk and English indie and – from stadium stage to headlining the barn stage at 9pm will be 70s-inspired rockers Sons of the Seventies, also known as Slade’s annual Christmas tour support act.

Nestled in the heart of the Witney, the festival at Cogges Manor Farm is set in picturesque Cotswold stone barns and a rustic farmstead, as seen in Downton Abbey – embodying the region’s rich heritage and natural beauty. It is supported by a nationally recognised and award-winning volunteer team.

Guy Reed, Cogges’ General Manager, said: “This year will be bigger and better than ever.  We’re celebrating a decade of our Beer & Cider Festival, and we can’t wait!  As a charity, it’s lovely to bring the local and neighbouring communities together for our biggest fundraiser of the year and to enjoy craft beers and ciders and homegrown musical talent.

Cogges as a charity receives no regular funding, and these events are crucial to maintain and preserve the heritage of this incredible place. Cogges Manor Farm has a thousand years of history to tell and allows visitors to literally step inside that history. All those who attend this and other events at Cogges Manor Farm are playing their part in supporting us and helping us to deliver a vision for the future and for this, we are grateful. Thank you.”
