Easter adventures await at Blenheim Palace

Families are invited to celebrate Easter at Blenheim Palace as the UNESCO World Heritage Site unveils an action-packed programme of seasonal activities across the Walled Garden and Adventure Play from 3rd to 6th April.

Visitors can look forward to:

  • Zoolab’s Egg-citing Encounters live animal shows in the Big Top
  • Circus workshops and walkabout performers
  • Giant bubbles, mini golf, and traditional fairground rides
  • Food stalls
  • Wicker Egg Trail
  • Dinosaur-themed fun continues in Adventure Play

For the Easter weekend, the Walled Garden will be transformed into a vibrant Easter wonderland packed with entertainment, hands-on activities and traditional family fun included with an annual pass. Within the Big Top, Zoolab’s Egg-citing Encounters will run 45 minute interactive shows throughout the day, showing an array of animals with a special Easter twist including how different species lay eggs and care for their young. Young explorers will also have the opportunity to handle some of the animals. Visitors can also take part in the Wicker Egg Trail, inspired by Zoolab’s animal characters. Spot and count Zoolab’s animal characters on each egg to claim a treat as their prize.

Families can try their hand at circus skills in the workshop tent, enjoy appearances from walkabout performers and marvel at the giant bubble artists creations. Also included in an annual pass is entry to The Butterfly House to get up close to species such as ‘Red Lacewing’, ‘Emerald Peacock’ and the stunning ‘Blue Wave’.

Mini golf, food stalls, and a traditional fairground in the Walled Garden car park area ensures there’s something for visitors of all ages.

Throughout the two-week Easter holiday, the fun continues in Adventure Play with dinosaur-themed activities for young explorers. Little ones can let their imaginations run wild in Adventure Play, which is the biggest family-themed attraction in the Palace’s history. The outdoor play area, located within the Walled Garden, features a series of immersive interconnecting zones with secret chambers, clamber nets, tunnels, slides, rope bridges – and giant carrots!

Within Adventure Play, children can follow the Pip and Posy Rainbow Treasure Hunt, inspired by an episode from Pip and Posy Magic Light Pictures’ hugely popular pre-school series, which airs on Sky Kids and Channel 5’s Milkshake!

Families can hop aboard Winston, the adorable mini train, for their trip to the Walled Garden and on arrival can race against time to see if they can conquer the mighty Marlborough Maze in just 10 minutes.

Access to activities in the Walled Garden are included with a valid Pass or Park & Gardens Day Ticket. Pass holders can book a single visit to Adventure Play for £5 per adult and £7 per child. Palace and Play Passes grant access to both Blenheim Palace and Adventure Play for a full year and cost £165 for a family of four, £51 per adult and £41 per child.
