Oxford India Society presents Rāmāyaṇa – A Stage Play. For the first time in Oxford, Oxford students bring the ancient Indian epic to life on stage this Diwali, with music, action and drama.

When Hanumān encounters Rāma, the exiled crown prince of Ayodhyā, he is compelled to help him rescue his beloved Sītā from Rāvaṇa, the arrogant king of Laṅkā. In doing so, he discovers the path of dharma (righteousness) and begins to uncover the powers he forgot as a child.

Performed in Hindi with English surtitles, so everyone can follow the story. Families and all ages are welcome.
