The Westmill Wind Farm and Solar Park is a pioneering community energy hub, located in Oxfordshire near the Wiltshire border. Completed in 2011, Westmill is unique with both wind and solar community-owned electricity generation on one site. In fact, the solar park was the first community-owned of its kind in the UK.

Join Westmill on-site to discover renewable energy and the positive impact it has on the climate. Hear the eventful history of the Westmill, before learning about the installation and energy generation of five wind turbines and over twenty-thousand solar panels. ‘Country Living’ has called Westmill one of the “6 most impressive solar farms around the world” to visit. You will experience at close quarters just how awe-inspiring this technology is.

This tour offers a unique, intimate and understandable perspective on how a wind farm and solar park works, all led by a team of friendly volunteer guides!
