Fairytale Farm Named England’s Fastest-Growing Farm Attraction as Magical Summer Festival Returns

Fairytale Farm in Oxfordshire is celebrating record-breaking success this summer, having just been confirmed as England’s fastest-growing farm attraction – and marking the moment with the launch of its biggest event of the year: the Fairytale Festival 2025, running daily from 23rd July to 1st September.
The accolade, just announced in VisitEngland’s Annual Survey of Visits to Visitor Attractions, reveals that Fairytale Farm has seen a 165% increase in visitors between 2019 and 2024 – the highest growth of any farm attraction in the country that provided data to the annual survey. While national visitor numbers remain below pre-pandemic levels, Fairytale Farm has defied the trend with bold investment and a focus on magical, inclusive experiences.
“We’re absolutely thrilled by this recognition,” said Nick Laister, owner of Fairytale Farm.
“To be named England’s fastest-growing farm attraction is an incredible achievement. It’s a real testament to the team here, who go above and beyond every day to make sure every family has a brilliant and memorable visit.”
“We made a very deliberate decision after Covid to reinvest in the farm, to create something really special for families,” he continued.
> “We’ve added whole new zones like Dino Valley, the magical Fairy Dell, the indoor Rapunzel’s Kingdom, and now our brand-new Alice in Wonderland-themed area, all since Covid. The feedback from visitors has been amazing – and the visitor numbers show that people are really responding to what we’re doing.”
Fairytale Festival 2025 – A Summer Full of Wonder
To celebrate its success, Fairytale Farm is inviting families to its Fairytale Festival 2025 – a summer-long extravaganza bursting with storytelling, games, creative workshops, adorable animals, and three brand new attractions.
“We want to create the kind of day out that children will talk about all summer,” added Nick.
“The Fairytale Festival is about stepping into a world of imagination—where you can be a hero, a villain, a fairy, a dinosaur… anything you want to be. It’s immersive, interactive, and just good old-fashioned fun.”
?? New for 2025:
- Queen of Hearts Crazy Cues – A wacky mash-up of snooker and crazy golf, straight from Wonderland
- The Mad Hatter’s Playground – A joyful, sensory-rich zone designed just for under 5s
- Storybook Castle (opening 1st August) – A majestic new centrepiece where young visitors can climb, explore and dream
? Daily Festival Fun Includes:
- Interactive Storytelling – Join the story in Once Upon a Wild Wood
- Puppet Show Workshop – Bring The Elves and the Shoemaker to life
- Outdoor Games – Captain Hook’s Treasure Challenge, Giant Skittles Knockout, Canal Boat Races, and more
- Adventure Trails – Explore the Enchanted Walk, Fairy Dell, Dino Valley, and Wilderness Walk
- Animal Encounters – Meet, pet, and feed Fairytale Farm’s friendly animals in hands-on sessions daily
Bank Holiday Magic – August 23rd–25th
The fun reaches new heights over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, when Cinderella and her friends will be roaming the farm. Expect comedy antics from the Ugly Sisters, interactive play with Buttons, and sing-along moments with Cinderella herself. Visitors will also enjoy special games, trail challenges, and plenty of photo opportunities.
“The August Bank Holiday weekend is going to be especially magical,” said Nick.
“Where else can you bump into Cinderella, giggle with the Ugly Sisters, and help save the day in a panto-style trail through the farm?”
Win a Family Annual Pass
As part of the festival, guests can enter Snow White’s Prize Draw by completing a fairy tale-themed quiz. One lucky family will win a Family Annual Pass worth £150, valid for 12 months of magical days out.
