Public voting now open for Brand The Bus! 2024

Voting for the Oxford Bus Company’s annual ‘Brand the Bus!’ competition has opened, for the public to choose which good cause should be displayed on one of Oxford’s first electric buses.

The competition offers people the chance to nominate their favourite local good cause to win the top spot with an advertising package worth £40,000. Since the popular giving back competition launched earlier in the month, more than 20 good causes have entered so far. They include the Unicorn School, mental health charity The Oxford Social and the charity Oxford United in the Community.

Oxford Bus Company is encouraging more good causes to enter – as the sooner entries are made the longer they have to attract public votes.

Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company said: “It’s great to see Brand the Bus! continue to go from strength to strength and the quality of the entries so far are fantastic.

“We’ve maintained the simpler entry process of the competition to widen access to more local good causes, resulting in continued strong interest, including from several new charities.

“This year, the competition has an exciting added dimension that the winning charity will be placed on an electric bus for the first time. We’re looking forward to seeing more entries come in and would encourage people to make their votes count.”

All entries must be submitted before the deadline of 8th January. The public vote runs until 2nd February, when a shortlist of the top 10 entries will go before a judging panel to decide on a winner.

Prizes will be awarded to the good causes that, in the panel’s view, meet the brief to the highest standard. The winners will work with Oxford Bus Company to design a bus wrap featuring their organisation’s logo, colours and key messages, as well as a year’s worth of broadcast advertising with Greatest Hits Radio. Two runners-up will win advertising packages worth £2,000 and £1,000 respectively.
