The Folly Announces the Return of its Winter Dining Domes

The Folly Restaurant in Oxford has confirmed the return of its signature Private Dining Domes for the winter season, bringing a distinctive and atmospheric riverside experience back to the city’s dining scene.

Set beside the River Thames with historic Folly Bridge as a backdrop, the domes offer a secluded and beautifully lit space for guests to enjoy the comfort of indoor dining while remaining immersed in the riverbank setting. Fully heated, they create a welcoming retreat for long lunches, afternoon tea and intimate evening dining during the colder months.

“There’s something very special about the river in winter – still, reflective, and full of character,” said Giles Dobson, owner of The Folly. “The domes allow guests to enjoy that riverside atmosphere without stepping away from warmth and comfort. They’ve become part of our identity at this time of year and it’s a pleasure to bring them back again.”

The domes are designed for small gatherings, romantic dinners and private celebrations, combining scenery, privacy and a sense of occasion. With limited availability and strong seasonal demand, early booking is recommended.

Reservations are now open via https://www.the-folly.co.uk/dining-domes or directly through the restaurant.
