Our permanent collections demonstrate the history of Banbury from the Civil War and vibrant Victorian Market town to the modern day. Our Pye gallery that showcases an ever-changing exhibition programme, so there is always something new to see and learn about at Banbury Museum & Gallery.
Accessed via Castle Quay shopping centre, there is plenty of parking and accessible parking a short walk away. The Museum is fully accessible, and our friendly staff are on hand to offer any help or assistance.
Our Museum shop (closed Sept 2021 for redevelopment) carefully sources beautiful ranges of lifestyle gifts and greetings cards, working with small brands and local makers our displays are inspiring and offer you that something different.
Enjoy a cup of tea and slice of cake in our onsite café with a view of the canal side. Take time out of your busy day to watch the canal boats pass and moor up at our neighbours, Tooleys historic boatyard.
We run an exciting and popular programme of children’s crafts and activities throughout the year which cater for pre-schoolers upwards.
