Oxford Playhouse is one of the country’s leading regional theatres, presenting and producing a wide range of live performances on its Main Stage and Burton Taylor Studio. Their programme includes the best of British and international drama, family shows, dance, music, student and amateur productions, comedy, and their seasonal pantomime production.
The Playhouse offers year-round activities for people of all ages looking to take part in theatre. The Playhouse Adult Company, Young Company and Youth Theatre offer opportunities for theatre-makers of all ages to get involved with performing and devising original productions.
As well as being a home for inspirational performances, The Playhouse is an active charity and collaborates with local and national creatives through Playhouse Playmakers, works with schools across Oxfordshire with Primary Playmaker, and outreaches to local community groups to break down barriers to people who otherwise couldn’t attend.

Please note, if there is a morning show starting before 12 noon, they will open one hour before the first performance starts. They will then remain open until the due start time of the last scheduled performance that day.
Sundays & Bank Holidays
They will open 90 minutes before the start time of the first scheduled performance and Box Office will remain open until the due start time of the last scheduled performance that day. Non-performance days they are closed.
