Carousel Buses launches new and improved website to help passengers plan journeys

Carousel Buses has launched a digital service that enables passengers work out how much CO2 they save when travelling by bus, compared to driving.

The carbon calculator feature is one of several modern customer friendly features the company has introduced on its new website. Passengers can now also check real time departure information on all Carousel Buses’ services and other local operators including First, Arriva and Red Rose.

The website also includes being able to track buses in real time on a map, so customers can see where the vehicle is, plus improved service updates. Additionally, passengers can now plan routes and buy cashless tickets online and have digital QR codes sent to their mobile phones to scan when boarding a bus.

Carousel Buses invested in the new website to integrate web-to-mobile e-commerce and provide customers with an improved digital service and live travel information. The website is integrated with the company’s app, enabling a smooth digital experience for customers. It was created following customer feedback and redesigned to provide more intuitive menus and better live information.

Phil Southall, Carousel Buses Managing Director, said: “This is a significant step in our on-going strategy to provide passengers with a first-class service and experience. Additionally, it helps with our commitment to making bus travel as accessible and sustainable as possible.

“Technology helps us provide access to key information quickly and clearly for passengers. It also provides cashless and contactless payment solutions. Technology is always evolving and this investment enables us to stay at the forefront of the market.”

Based in Wycombe, Carousel Buses provides bus services in Buckinghamshire, and parts of Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Slough and Greater London.
