Oxford Official Walking Tours Announce the Return of Daily Tours

Oxford Official Walking Tours, operated by Experience Oxfordshire, the Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for Oxfordshire, are delighted to be operating daily tours again from Monday 19th July.

Oxford Official Walking Tours have been offering a much-reduced weekend only service for the past few months but as the summer season approaches tours will now be available again daily.

The award-winning tours are designed to be fun, interesting and entertaining. Being all outside they are a great way to enjoy and make the most of a visit to the City of Oxford. Tours are led by experienced guides that take customers round key sites of the city and can include; the iconic Radcliffe Camera Building, the Bodleian Library Old Schools Quadrangle, used in Harry Potter films, and many of the most ancient colleges, dating back from 1242.

Oxford Official Walking Tours have received the VisitEngland ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard and the ‘Safe Travels’ stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council showing a commitment to following robust hygiene and safety protocols.

Hayley Beer-Gamage Chief Executive of Experience Oxfordshire said:

“We are delighted that we are now able to offer daily tours again.  However, as we move into the next stage of the  government road map, we are still encouraging responsible behaviour from all customers joining our tours. We have received excellent feedback on our tours since re-starting in April with consistent 5-star TripAdvisor reviews. Our new booking system makes it easy to check availability and book in advance and with a wide range of tours available they really are a great way to explore the city.”

In addition to the daily University and City Tours there are also plenty of special themed tours available including; Inspector Morse. CS Lewis and Tolkien, Ghost tours and Philip Pullman Tours. Private tours are also available and can be tailored to customer requirements. The award-winning tours can be booked direct at: www.oxfordofficialwalkingtours.org. Experience Oxfordshire will continue to monitor demand for Oxford Official Walking Tours and add more tour availability as appropriate.
