Pye Homes steps into next era with new Managing Director

Pye Homes has announced Martin Brown as its new managing director, who joins the Oxfordshire housebuilder from McCarthy Stone, where he held several senior positions during almost a decade at the company.

With 20 years of experience in housebuilding and property development, Martin brings a wealth of knowledge and a new leadership to Pye Homes, which celebrates its centenary in 2027.

Martin said: ““What really sets Pye Homes apart is the strength of the brand and the reputation it’s built over nearly a century. With a 98-year history behind us, quality is embedded in everything we do, from the homes we build to our eight-year partnership with Blenheim. Personally, I’m passionate about delivering housing that offers customers improved choice through well-designed communities that put high-quality placemaking at their heart, whilst offering genuine affordability across a range of prices.”

Martin has been leading the business since early January and is firmly looking forward towards new growth opportunities.

He continued: “Together with the wider team our plan is to grow the business through offering attractive and innovative housing that is also exceptionally sustainable. I believe that we can continue to deliver excellent places to live and can remain a great place to work for our employees.”

Throughout his career, which has included roles across several leading private companies and PLCs including Dandara and Linden Homes, Martin has developed his expertise in land acquisition, development strategy, and operational delivery and this wealth of experience will be applied to his new position as managing director at Pye Homes.

Martin commented: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead Pye into its second century. Alongside sister businesses, the group has new plans for growth and will continue to create wonderful developments, recognise long-term stewardship of place, and enable thriving new communities for our future customers.”
