The Leys College students celebrate T Level Results Day success

The Leys College is celebrating the success of its T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development learners as they take the next steps into university, apprenticeships, employment and further study.

The programme celebrated an overall 86% T Level pass rate, reflecting students’ hard work, determination and ambition.

Neil Brookes, Chief Learning Officer (Quality) at Activate Learning, said: “We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our T Level students in Digital Production, Design and Development at The Leys College.

“These results are a fantastic reflection of the hard work, creativity and determination of our learners, supported by the expertise and dedication of our staff and employer partners.

“T Levels are designed to give young people the technical knowledge, practical skills and real-world experience that employers value, and our students have demonstrated that they are ready to take those skills into their next steps, whether that is higher education, an apprenticeship or employment.

“It is particularly rewarding to see our learners develop the confidence and professional skills to succeed in a fast-moving digital sector. We congratulate every student on their achievement and look forward to seeing where their talent and ambition takes them.”

Callum Greenwood achieved a Merit in the Digital Production, Design and Development T Level after completing an industry placement with Virtual Net and will now progress to study Computer Science at the University of Nottingham.

“I plan to attend university to study Computer Science. I’m grateful for all the support and guidance my teachers gave me, allowing me to feel more confident about my future.

“Balancing my exam revision with my industry placement was a major hurdle. However, learning to manage both workloads helped me develop strong time-management skills.

“I would highly recommend The Leys College to any student looking to further their education.”

Students completed a work taster project with IBM during the programme, where students undertook data analysis tasks before giving a presentation.
