Part of Oxford’s Alice’s Day Celebrations, 7 July 2018
Alice in Waterland Walk
A 90 minute journey to and around beautiful Christ Church Meadow. The route will follow waterside paths familiar to the real Alice and Lewis Carroll to highlight in particular the all-important role of the River Thames in the creation of Alice’s Adventures.
There will be references to other Oxford classics of children’s literature, and to important aspects related to Oxford history and geography. The tour will end at Alice’s Shop in St Aldate’s.
Please note that as this walk is designed primarily for adults there will be no charge for primary-age children. Group size is limited to 20 persons.
Mark Davies, Oxford local historian and author, is the only guide endorsed by the Lewis Carroll Society.
